Zachor Shoah Film Tells Holocaust Tale of Survival

Heinz and Manfred grew up as boys together in the southwestern German town of Hoffenheim. But the rise of the Nazis and the subsequent persecution of the Jews upended their lives forever, with Heinz moving to Israel and taking the name Menachem and Manfred starting over in the US as Fred.
The following short movie produced by Zachor Shoah tells the story of how they survived the Holocaust and why they decided to return to Hoffenheim for a visit many years later.
The film is narrated by Ilay Elmkies — now an Israeli professional soccer player, who trained at the TSG Hoffenheim Youth Academy when he was younger.
