Ahead of New Hijri Year, CAM Recognizes Outstanding Work of Muslim Partners
With the start of the new Hijri year fast approaching, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) would like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding work of the Muslim partner organizations who play an integral role in the collective effort against Jew-hatred.
At the cornerstone of CAM’s activities is a global interfaith coalition of groups and individuals committed to fighting antisemitism and other forms of bigotry.
This year, CAM was proud to partner with the newly-launched Mukhayriq Initiative — a unique endeavor inspired by the historic bonds between Muslims and Jews dating back more than 1,400 years.
Another wonderful organization CAM works with is the American Muslim & Multifaith Empowerment Council (AMWEC), specifically in regards to its annual Interfaith Iftar during the holy month of Ramadan. For the past two years, AMWEC and CAM have co-hosted this celebratory event, bringing together people of all faiths and ethnicities to break bread in a spirit of peace, tolerance, and cooperation.
Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester (MJF)
A statement from the MJF —
The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester believes that we can best help to combat antisemitism and anti-Muslim hatred by building friendships between Muslims and Jews, and by sharing our activities with the wider community.
That is why all of our events are open to people of all faiths and none, not just open to Muslims and Jews. We only organize events that unite people, avoiding domestic politics and international affairs.
No two religions are closer than Islam and Judaism. Sadly, too many Muslims and Jews allow themselves to forget that, which is why our work is so necessary.
Islamic Theology of Counter Terrorism (ITCT)
A statement from ITCT —
Islam supports the rights of Jews and commands Muslims to provide freedom of religion to them.
It is an honor for ITCT to work along with CAM as a partner against the rising threat of antisemitism in the West.
