Antisemitic Flyers Distributed in 11 US States in June 2022, CAM Data Shows
In the month of June 2022, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) Information Hub monitored 26 incidents of antisemitic flyering in 11 U.S. states, marking the continuation of a trend that has plagued the country recently.
The targeted states included California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
In a majority of the incidents, the apparent perpetrators were supporters of the Goyim Defense League (GDL), a neo-Nazi group that has distributed flyers across the U.S. over the past year propagating antisemitic hatred, including blaming Jews for the Covid-19 pandemic.
GDL flyers have featured statements such as “Every single aspect of the Covid agenda is Jewish,” as well as lists of names of Jewish health officials said to be “celebrating their role in Covid.”
Other GDL flyers have said, “Every single aspect of gun control is Jewish,” and “Antifa is a Jewish militia,” among other conspiratorial antisemitic assertions.
The flyers are often left in plastic bags weighed down by small rocks outside homes in residential areas.
In December, GDL flyers were found in at least nine states over the course of a single weekend.
The GDL has also been responsible for a series of provocative stunts, including the unfurling of a “Vax the Jews” banner on a highway overpass in Austin, Texas, last October.
