An AI-generated poster of an ultra-Orthodox Jew swallowing banknotes, buildings, and images of Thai public figures was shown Saturday at a demonstration against Israelis in Saphan Hin, Phuket.
It echoed the age-old antisemitic conspiracy theories that Jews control finance and government.

Sondhi Limthongkul, 79, one of the leaders of Thailand’s “Yellow Shirts” movement, attended and stood before a sign reading “No Israel — Save Phuket.”
The Phuket Land Protection Group (PLPG) organized the event. One of the group’s leaders had demanded on social media that Israelis living in Thailand and Jews affiliated with Chabad be expelled from the country. He described Chabad as a “fundraising center for the Israeli network” and urged that it be “uprooted.”
Separately, on Saturday night, a passerby harassed Israeli Muay Thai fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon as he filmed a video for social media. Footage Gordon posted captured the shouted insults in English, among them “Jewish boy” and “Free Palestine.”
Ahavat Hashem Gordon, an Israeli professional Muay Thai fighter and kickboxer, was recording a video with his friends while visiting Thailand.
"Hey, you Jewish boy, f*ck you! Free Palestine!" A passerby suddenly yelled. Gordon was speaking Hebrew and wearing a kippah.

The rally followed last week’s order by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stripping Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, who oversees Chabad in Thailand, of his Thai citizenship. Authorities cited his continued use of an American passport after becoming a Thai citizen as the main reason.
Several protests against Israel have taken place in Thailand over the past month, including one where hundreds gathered outside the Israeli Embassy in Bangkok. A Chabad representative in Thailand told Ynet that the recent incidents were part of an ongoing episode that began on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, when antisemitic elements congregated outside the Chabad House in Phuket. Chabad was forced to cancel a holiday dinner planned for about 2,000 people.
The representative added, “We are witnessing another disturbing development, with posters displaying extreme antisemitic imagery that evokes painful associations with the darkest periods of Jewish history, including images reminiscent of the Holocaust era.”
