Boulder Students for Justice in Palestine published a “2026 Statement of Commitment” on Instagram Aug. 25, at the start of a new academic year, demanding one state “from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea,” a vision that eliminates the State of Israel.
The account, posting under the handle @boulder_sjp, describes its members as “unaffiliated CU Boulder students fighting for the liberation of Palestine.”
The Aug. 25 post’s Arabic caption translates to “Glory to the martyrs, glory to Palestine.”
The group states that it is “committed firstly to the liberation of Palestine and its people’s right of return,” adding that this means “achieving one state, from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, with Al-Quds,” the Arabic name for Jerusalem, “as its capital.”
It labels Israel a “settler colonial apartheid” system and declares that ending it “shall secure Palestinian sovereignty over their land and future.”

The pledge endorses violence without limit or qualification. “It is not our place to judge the resistance’s tactics and withdraw our support in the name of civility,” it reads. It then dismisses civility as a constraint on such violence. Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist organizations similarly label their attacks on Israel, including the October 7th massacre, as “resistance.”

The group commits to “direct action and material support” that “strengthens Palestinian resistance and weakens zionism [sic],” and pledges solidarity with what it calls “anticolonial struggles” in Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, Sudan, Congo, Bolivia, Chiapas, Cuba, and Venezuela.

As of Sept. 8, the post had drawn 158 likes and 13 reposts. One commenter wrote, “i love you all … until liberation and return,” using a parachute emoji that supporters have adopted to glorify the October 7th attacks, when terrorists used motorized paragliders to cross Israel’s border.
In June, in the first anniversary of the deadly antisemitic firebombing in Boulder that killed an elderly Jewish woman, Boulder SJP released a statement defending the terrorist who carried it out, saying he “chose the only sane response available to a rational human being” and that attack was a “direct action against the Zionist death cult festering in our city.”
