Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) Chief Government Affairs Officer Lisa Katz has been chosen by Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY 17) to be recognized as a “2026 Jewish Changemaker.”
Earlier this month, Representative Lawler invited constituents to nominate Jewish community members who have had “a positive impact on the residents of NY-17” and “been a true ‘changemaker’ for others.”
“I’m proud to recognize the individuals whose leadership, service, and dedication help make the Hudson Valley a stronger place to live, work, and raise a family,” Lawler said.
As CAM’s chief government affairs officer, Katz — a former town supervisor of New Castle — leads CAM’s work with North American mayors to secure and nurture Jewish life in their cities.
Katz will be honored by Representative Lawler at a Rosh Hashanah celebration in Suffern next week.
“This recognition is deeply meaningful to me,” Katz said. “From my years leading New Castle to my work with mayors across the country through CAM, I have seen what a difference local leaders can make when they speak out and take action. I am incredibly proud of what we are building at CAM, and this honor only strengthens my commitment to making sure Jewish people everywhere can live openly, proudly, and safely in their communities.”
