The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was honored to participate last week in the 7th World Peace Action Conference in Miami, Florida, organized by the International Peace Action Movement.
CAM was represented by Director of Hispanic Affairs Shay Salamon, who addressed the forum and was recognized with the “Missionary of Peace” honor.

Past recipients of the honor include former Organization of American States (OAS) Secretary-General Luis Almagro and the late Pope Francis.
In his remarks, Salamon offered an update on global antisemitism trends and the situation in Israel, and called for interfaith cooperation to eradicate hate and promote dialogue and peace.
Earlier last week, Salamon spoke at the National Hispanic Pastors Alliance (NAHPA) National Conference 2025 in Washington, D.C.
CAM’s Spanish-language outreach began four years ago, and since then it has worked diligently to build meaningful relationships with influential leaders, legislators, diplomats, community organizations, and civil society activists from a diverse assortment of religious, political and cultural backgrounds in the Americas to combat antisemitism together.
During this time, CAM en Español has emerged as a key player in the battle against Jew-hatred throughout the Western Hemisphere, with a growing coalition involved in impactful activities in countries including Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia, Panama, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Mexico, Ecuador, Bolivia, and the United States, among others.
CAM en Español has organized regional summits hosted by Costa Rica in 2024 (where 18 countries were represented), Uruguay in 2023, Panama in 2022, and Guatemala in 2021.
This October, CAM will hold the fifth-annual Latin American Forum Against Antisemitism in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
