Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) CEO Sacha Roytman issued the following statement on Monday, following the release of all 20 living Israeli hostages from Gaza and U.S. President Donald Trump’s address to the Knesset in Jerusalem:

With profound appreciation for his historic and lifesaving leadership, we thank President Trump for his bold vision and action in securing the ceasefire and working to bring our hostages home.

For 738 days, Jews around the world have prayed for the hostages to be freed and for God to “have mercy on them and take them out from narrowness to expanse, and from darkness to light, and from oppression to redemption, now, swiftly, and soon.” There is still more work to be done, but as we enter into the last days of the holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah we will have prayers and tears of gratitude instead.

President Trump’s courage, moral clarity, and unwavering support for Israel and the Jewish people have marked an end to this dark chapter.

We send our deepest gratitude to Ambassador Mike Huckabee, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner for their tireless dedication to this vital mission.

From Israel and from Jews we express appreciation from the depths of our soul and say: Todah Rabah.
