‘Evil Never Sleeps’: CAM Mobilizes Christian Action Against Antisemitism at Annual NRB Convention

Thousands of Christian communicators from across the United States convened at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennesee this week for the annual National Religious Broadcasters Convention (NRB 2026).

The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was proud to once again co-sponsor the convention’s “Breakfast to Honor Israel,” which drew a sold-out crowd of 400 people on Thursday morning.

Other breakfast co-sponsors included the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (IFCJ) and American Friends of Magen David Adom.

In his address at the breakfast, CAM Director of Christian Outreach and Engagement EJ Kimball declared, “Evil never sleeps. Evil will find ways to disguise itself to get the ignorant, and at times, well-meaning people, to do their bidding. We understand this, and we understand that fighting against Jew-hatred cannot be done alone. We need your help.”

“As we are about to celebrate our 250th birthday as a country, I’m reminded of George Washington’s letter to the Hebrew Congregation of Newport, Rhode Island in 1790,” Kimball stated. “He says: ‘May the children of the stock of Abraham who dwell in this land continue to merit and enjoy the good will of the other inhabitants — while everyone shall sit in safety under his own vine and fig tree and there shall be none to make him afraid.'”

“I can tell you right now, the Jewish people in this country do not sit in safety,” Kimball continued. “Every Jewish event today, including weekly services, has a visible police presence. This is not out of caution. It’s out of necessity. So my question and challenge to all of you is — What are you going to do about it? Words without action, are just that. Words.”

“A former member of Congress once told a group that prayer is great,” he recalled. “And it is important. But you can’t lean on a shovel and pray for a hole. G-d provides the shovel, but you need to dig. G-d provides us all with the tools to succeed. We just need to have the courage and trust to do what G-d has equipped us to do.”

“It doesn’t matter what your job is, what your position is at your church, or in your community, there is something for everyone to do,” Kimball emphasized. “So I pose this challenge again to all of you. What are you going to do to tip the scales of justice so that good triumphs over evil?”

“On behalf of the Combat Antisemitism Movement, I thank you for your friendship, for your continued support, and most importantly, your determination in partnering with us to defeat this evil,” he concluded.

Former Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan, now Global President of Magen David Adom, delivered the breakfast’s keynote remarks, telling the audience, “You are standing up as the Iron Dome for truth.”

The event also featured a musical performance by Israeli country singer Omer Netzer.

CAM has been represented the past seven years at the annual NRB conventions and is building a broad base of evangelical Christian support for international efforts to combat antisemitism.
