The fifth annual Kyiv Jewish Forum — a two-day virtual event hosted by the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and Tablet Magazine, and co-sponsored by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) — got underway on Wednesday.

The forum is featuring a series of speeches, interviews, and panel discussions with top global leaders sharing their insights on pressing issues facing Jewish communities worldwide, with a particular focus on the ongoing war in Ukraine nearly a year after the Russian invasion began.

The goal of the event is to “strengthen understanding of the Jewish community’s role in the development of Ukraine and to motivate international support for Ukraine’s independence,” the organizers said.

A full recording of Day One of the forum can be viewed here:

Day Two’s sessions can be viewed here:

Prominent speakers include Boris Lozhkin, President of the Jewish Confederation of Ukraine; Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel; Boris Johnson, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom; Oleksii Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine; Eli Cohen, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel; Ben Cardin, U.S. Senator from Maryland; Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator from Texas; Joe Lieberman, former U.S. Senator from Connecticut and CAM Advisory Board member; Dmytro Kuleba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine; Natan Sharansky, Chair of the CAM Advisory Board; and Robert Singer, Chair of the Center for Jewish Impact and CAM Board of Governors member, among many other distinguished participants.

The panel discussions are dedicated to topics such as “Ukraine as the Israel of Europe,” “World Jewry’s Role in Ukraine,” “The Russian-Iranian Axis,” “Maintaining Bipartisan US Support,” “The New Ukraine,” “Ukrainian-Centric Post-War World,” and “Ukraine After the War.”
