A Florida resident has been federally indicted for sending a series of antisemitic and threatening text messages to a Jewish individual in Maryland over the span of nine months.

Jackson Traylor, 26, of Dania Beach, Florida, was charged with transmitting interstate threats and attempting to conceal his identity by changing phone numbers.

The indictment, unsealed on Tuesday by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Maryland, alleges that Traylor sent more than ten threatening messages between July 9, 2024, and April 10, 2025.

According to the indictment, Traylor’s texts included extreme antisemitic content, such as: “Go burn in an oven like your ancestors”; “Burn in a god damn oven … Stupid jew”; “Hey Jew, been a while since we spoke. Let me burn you alive like your ancestors. Hail Hitler.”

The federal charge carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
