Anti-Israel protesters targeted Jerry Seinfeld during a Friday show in Chicago, hurling charges of “racism” and complicity in “genocide” at the Jewish comedian for standing with Israel.
The United States Palestine Coalition-Chicago group put video of the confrontation online. One man yelled that Seinfeld was a racist, and the comedian fired back with mock agreement, “I am a racist.”
As the man pressed on, Seinfeld answered again.
“But I’m going to find out how much your ticket was and I’m sending it to Israel,” he said, according to the video.

The charge that Israel is committing genocide and has killed thousands of children represents a contemporary form of the historic blood libel, which falsely accused Jews of murdering children for ritual purposes.
In December 2023, after the October 7th massacre, in which Hamas terrorists killed roughly 1,200 people, the majority of them civilians, and abducted 251 others, Seinfeld traveled to Israel with his wife. The couple met released hostages and relatives of those still held, and visited Kibbutz Be’eri, where more than a hundred were murdered.
Seinfeld later described the trip as “the most powerful experience” of his life.
Seinfeld has faced similar disruptions at other appearances, including a Duke University commencement speech. After someone interrupted an event featuring freed hostage Omer Shem Tov, he said the Ku Klux Klan was “more honest” in its antisemitism than certain people using the slogan “Free Palestine.” He has also dismissed the slogan directly, responding on separate occasions with “It doesn’t exist” and “I don’t care about Palestine.”
