Two visibly Jewish guests found identical “Free Palestine” messages displayed on televisions in separate rooms at a Travelodge in North London, England, on Wednesday.
One of the men also reported hostile treatment at the front desk, saying a staff member refused to look at him or properly serve him during check-in.

Travelodge Chief Executive Jo Boydell said Thursday that the company launched an immediate investigation and reported the matter to police. “We are taking the report of an antisemitic message that appeared on the TV screen in a room in one of our hotels yesterday afternoon with the utmost seriousness,” Boydell said.
She said the company had contacted the affected customer, apologized, and expressed regret to the wider Jewish community for the distress caused. “Antisemitism has no place in society,” Boydell added. “We will not tolerate this in our hotels or in our wider businesses.”
