The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was honored to participate this week in celebrations in Cúcuta, Colombia, marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Centro Cristiano Church, led by Pastor José Satirio Dos Santos.

CAM Director of Hispanic Affairs Shay Salamon was a special guest at the festivities and delivered keynote remarks to an audience of more than 4,000 people, including delegations from across Latin America, the United States, and Europe.

Salamon also presented Pastor Dos Santos with an award recognizing his friendship with the Jewish people and State of Israel.

“An ancient hatred, antisemitism has mutated over the centuries, but is still present. It’s a hatred that feeds on lies, conspiracy theories, ignorance, and misinformation,” Salamon said. “And in the face of this, the only weapon we have is the truth.”
