Federal agents arrested Steven Duenas, 51, a resident of Los Angeles’s Los Feliz neighborhood, on October 2 after prosecutors accused him of posting antisemitic threats online and possessing components intended to make a Molotov cocktail.

He allegedly planned a “mass incident” at Jems, a nearby Jewish preschool.

On September 19, a post attributed to Duenas on X showed what appeared to be a Molotov cocktail positioned before a television displaying footage of the burning World Trade Center.

Other posts attributed to him included “Not enough synagogues have been burned down” and “I just acquired some Tomahawks from Facebook Marketplace, might bomb Jems later.”
