Two homes in Imperial Beach, California, were vandalized with Nazi swastikas and other antisemitic graffiti over the weekend, prompting an investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
Both incidents were reported on Sept. 12, during Rosh Hashanah.
The first report came shortly after 2:30 p.m. Deputies found a swastika and other antisemitic markings on the exterior of a home in the 100 block of Elm Avenue, apparently drawn in black permanent marker.
Later that day, a second report came from a home in the 700 block of Seacoast Drive, where someone had marked a window with a swastika and antisemitic graffiti, apparently using the same type of marker.
No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. The investigation continues.
The sheriff’s office did not indicate whether the timing had any connection to Rosh Hashanah.
