In the aftermath of October 7th, Iran-backed Hezbollah has violated UN Resolution 1701 on a daily basis, launching relentless cross-border missile, rocket, and drone attacks on northern Israel, displacing tens of thousands of Israeli civilians from their homes and threatening the lives of millions more.
Despite Israel’s efforts to reach a diplomatic resolution, Hezbollah has continued its aggression, with hundreds of projectiles fired into Israel this week alone, including a ballistic missile that was intercepted over the Tel Aviv area on Wednesday morning, the longest-range Hezbollah launch yet since the fighting began.
Faced with this violence, Israel had no choice but to shift from defense to offense and the IDF is now taking action across Lebanon to exact a price from Hezbollah and deter further attacks.
On Tuesday, the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) hosted an special online briefing providing in-depth analysis of the current security situation on the northern border and Israel’s strategic approach to safeguarding its citizens.
Presentations were made by: Sgt. First Class Benjamin Lee, Head of International Messaging and Strategy Desk in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit; Yael Bar-Lev, CEO of the Galila Foundation; and Avraham Levine, Speaker and Digital Content Director at the Alma Research and Education Center.
