Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) Public Affairs Officer Natalie Sanandaji shared her harrowing story of surviving the Nova music festival massacre on October 7th at the “Bearing Witness” event hosted by Shomrim Latinos in Newark, New Jersey, on Sunday.
The program brought together members of four local Spanish-speaking churches to hear Natalie’s testimony and learn how Christians can better advocate for Israel and the Jewish people during these difficult times.
CAM partnered with Philos Project to co-sponsor the event, along with Generation Zion.

Sanandaji was introduced by CAM Director of Christian Outreach and Engagement EJ Kimball.
“Your support for the Jewish people is so important right now, not just for us Jews, but for Christians as well, because we know what starts with the Jews never ends with the Jews,” Kimball told the audience.
“My mom always taught me that holding a grudge and hating someone is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to get hurt,” Sanandaji said. “I could have chose to hate another group after what happened to me and just be angry all the time. But instead I chose to try to take this bad thing that happened to me and turn it into something good. It’s important to realize that more hate isn’t going to fix the other hate. There’s terrorist organization that needs to be stopped, but hating a whole group of people isn’t going to solve the problem.”
Sanandaji tweeted after the event, “The turnout of church members who took time out of their day to listen to my story deeply moved me. It’s a powerful reminder that we have allies who stand by us in love and support.”
