With a population of 11.4 million people including 30,000 Jews, the small European nation is seeing an alarming rise in anti-Semitism. 39% of Belgian Jews have experienced anti-Semitic harassment. 2019 was a tough year for Belgian Jews, with a spate of violent, political, cultural and rhetorical attacks against the Jewish community emanating from the right, the left, radical Islam, and everywhere in-between.
