Swastika and “White Power” Graffiti Found at Jewish Office in the Bronx
According to the New York Daily News, this Tuesday anti-Semitic graffiti was found on the office of a Jewish lawyer in the Bronx. The NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force is currently investigating, a police spokeswoman said.
On Tuesday afternoon, criminal defense and civil rights lawyer, Mike Braverman, found that vandals had drawn a swastika and the words “white power” in front of his Bronx lawyer’s office.
“When we came in this morning, there was nothing,” said Braverman but added that later in the day his colleague “noticed there was a tag on one side, and anti-Semitic graffiti on the other side.”
When asked by the New York Daily News, Braverman couldn’t answer why his law office was specifically targeted by anti-Semitism.
“Well, I mean, Getz & Braverman, we are Jewish. I can’t say. There’s several Jewish lawyers up here, several,” he said. “We represent everybody. We represent all races, creeds, colors, for years. I’ve never experienced any anti-Semitism here in the Bronx.”
