The Inaugural 2020 Balkans Forum Against Anti-Semitism

The Parliament of the Republic of Albania, in partnership with the Combat Anti-Semitism Movement (CAM) and the Jewish Agency for Israel, made the historic decision to host the inaugural Balkans Forum Against Anti-Semitism on October 28, 2020 at 11:00 PM EDT.

Albania was one of the only countries to shelter Jews during the Holocaust. To this day, Albania is a champion of interfaith relations between its Jewish minority and the Muslim-majority population.

In the spirit of Albania’s historic friendship with the Jewish people, the inaugural Balkans Forum Against Anti-Semitism will serve as a model for other countries in the region and beyond.

Dignitaries such as heads of state, ministers, and envoys for anti-Semitism from the Balkans, the broader European region, and the United States will address participants.

The aim of the conference will be to foster a united front among the Balkans to eradicate the scourge of anti-Semitism from our discourse and to create better, more tolerant societies for future generations.
