At a virtual event hosted by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) this week, leading Iranian LGBTQ+ activists shared their experiences of persecution, violence, and resistance, seeking to draw urgent international attention to the brutal realities of life under the Tehran regime and expose the Islamic Republic’s systematic human rights violations.

Speakers included: Iranian-American artist Amira Zolghadri, Director of Community Engagement at Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa (JIMENA) Matthew Nouriel, “Hot Jewish Energy” Movement Founder Michael Valdes, and Advisor on Iranian Human Rights and LGBTQ Issues at United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) Omid Iravanipour.

The forum was moderated by CAM Public Affairs Officer Natalie Sanandaji, who leads CAM’s advocacy and education efforts against the Tehran regime, which is the world’s top exporter of antisemitism.
