Tucker Carlson Pushes Antisemitic Conspiracy Theories About Alleged Israeli Influence in US

American media personality Tucker Carlson used a Saturday interview with The American Conservative to claim that Israeli “psychological influence” has shaped how Americans perceive national security threats.

Specifically, Carlson pointed to results from an AmFest poll that ranked radical Islam as the top threat facing the United States. According to Carlson, the outcome reflected pressure from Israel, its supporters, and what he described as “informal employees” inside the U.S. However, he offered no evidence to support this claim.

Dehumanizing Claims About Jews and Israel

During the interview, Carlson described pro-Israel supporters as believing they are “specially chosen by God” while viewing others as “sub-human.” Such language echoes long-standing antisemitic stereotypes portraying Jews as inherently supremacist or morally corrupt.

Carlson presented these claims as proof of Israel’s alleged ability to manipulate American public opinion. In doing so, he framed Jewish identity and support for Israel as tools of coercive power rather than political belief.

He also argued that U.S. backing for Israel has entangled Washington in the war in Gaza. According to Carlson, Americans have been repeatedly told their “destiny is intertwined with Israel,” a claim he used to suggest imposed loyalty rather than democratic alliance.

Holocaust-Era Analogies and Distortion of History

To reinforce his argument, Carlson invoked the U.S. atomic bombing of Hiroshima during World War II. He labeled it immoral and drew a direct comparison to Israel’s military campaign against Hamas in Gaza.

Carlson said criticism he received from conservative commentator Ben Shapiro over those remarks “implicates what’s happening in Gaza.” As a result, he equated two vastly different historical and military contexts.

Such comparisons are common in anti-Israel rhetoric. Yet they distort history and blur critical distinctions. Moreover, they ignore the reality that Israel is fighting a designated terrorist organization embedded among civilians.

Claims of Collective Guilt and Equality Denial

Carlson further alleged that pro-Israel politicians defend Israel “no matter what.” He claimed they do so because they supposedly do not believe “that humans are equal.”

Finally, he asserted that “white people are the main victims of discrimination in the United States, not Jews.”

These remarks deny the reality of contemporary antisemitism while assigning collective guilt to Jews. Historically, such narratives have fueled hostility toward Jewish communities and the State of Israel.
