Two Israeli tourists were injured during a fight at a holiday park in Westerhoven, the Netherlands, last Thursday.

The clash began after a dispute in a paintball game between a group of Israeli and Dutch visitors.

Both Israeli victims, aged 37 and 41, received treatment from paramedics. One suffered a serious head injury. Police arrested a 15-year-old Dutch boy at the scene on suspicion of assault.

According to authorities, the argument over gameplay escalated quickly and spilled onto a terrace, where it turned into a violent brawl. Investigators have not determined whether the attack was motivated by anti-Israeli or antisemitic sentiment. The case remains under investigation.

Israeli Government Demands Action

Israel’s Foreign Ministry condemned the assault and linked it to previous violence against Israelis in the Netherlands. In a statement on social media, the ministry declared: “Israel calls on the Government of the Netherlands to come to its senses and act resolutely to prevent attacks on Israelis in its territory, to locate the criminals, and to bring them to justice.”

Officials also drew comparisons to last year’s assaults on Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam. That violence, which followed a match between Ajax and Maccabi Tel Aviv, left five people hospitalized and led to dozens of arrests. Dutch authorities and Jewish groups at the time condemned the incidents as antisemitic.
