The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was honored to participate this week in the First Judeo Christian Zionist Congress (JCZC), held in Nashville, Tennessee.
The historic forum brought together 350 organizational leaders from across the globe under the banner of “The Eighth War: The Struggle for the Principles and Values of the West.”
CAM was represented by Director of Hispanic Affairs Shay Salamon, who spoke at a side event for Latin American partners.
The JCZC describes itself as “a global movement of networks, denominations and organizations, which collaborate to protect and advance the Judeo-Christian foundations of Western civilization, and by extension — the legitimacy of the Jewish state of Israel in its ancestral homeland.”
The agenda of this week’s summit focused on strategic dialogue and international cooperation, with an emphasis on the importance of strengthening global collaboration in response to contemporary challenges affecting Western societies and Jewish communities worldwide.
Keynote speakers included former U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, U.S. Senator Bill Hagerty, Reverend Johnnie Moore, former Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl, and Hollywood actress Patricia Heaton, among others, as well as video remarks from Israel by President Isaac Herzog and Mayor of Modi’in Haim Bibas.
CAM thanks Pastor Carlos Duran, president of the National Hispanic Pastors Alliance (NAHPA) and member of the JCZC organizing committee, and JCZC Chair Calev Myers for the opportunity to join this important forum and looks forward to continued partnership moving forward.
“It was an inspiring experience that reaffirmed my conviction that we are not alone in the fight against antisemitism nor in defending the values we share,” Salamon said. “This gathering strengthened our commitment to continue fostering alliances, cooperation, and coordinated action on a global scale.”
