The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) was honored to participate on Wednesday in the South Florida Antisemitism Summit hosted by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL-25).
CAM was represented by Chief of Staff Arthur Maserjian at the gathering at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie, Florida.
The forum brought together around 400 community leaders, organizational representatives, and grassroots activists under the banner of “One Voice: South Florida Community Combating Antisemitism and Hate.”

Joined by Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) Chief Science Officer and Co-Founder Dr. Joel Finkelstein, Maserjian made a presentation on the research conducted by CAM and NCRI on online and social media antisemitism, detailing its implications and offering recommended courses of action.
Maserjian highlighted the correlation between online incitement against Jews and real-world antisemitic incidents, citing data analysis from two CAM/NCRI reports published earlier this year — “The ‘Synagogue of Satan’: Uniting Extremist Groups in the Revival of an Antisemitic Libel Online” and “#Twittertakeover: How the Musk Acquisition Became a Launchpad for Gen-Z Neo-Nazis, Ye, and Widespread Antisemitism“.
“What happens online doesn’t stay online,” Maserjian warned.
Maserjian called for greater data transparency from social media companies to aid researchers, monitoring groups, and law enforcement authorities, and he also urged governments at all levels to establish better mechanisms to collect information on hate crimes.
Keynote remarks were delivered at Wednesday’s summit by Ambassador Deborah Lipstadt, the U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Antisemitism, and Consul General of Israel in Miami Maor Elbaz-Starinsky was among the other notable guests to speak.
