As first reported in the Jewish Telegraphic Agency and several other outlets, the US state of Missouri has become the 28th state to pass legislation against the boycotts of Israel, or the BDS movement.

The Anti-Discrimination Against Israel Act heads to Missouri Governor Mike Parson’s desk for an expected signature, when it will become law after the bill passed in the Missouri House of Representatives in a 95-40 vote. The bill has previously passed in the state Senate by 29-1.

Under the new law, companies that seek government contracts with state must sign a document pledging not to discriminate against Israel through a boycott, in order to do business with the state of Missouri. Companies with fewer than 10 employees or those with government contracts worth less than $100,000 are exempt from the new law.
