The Jewish community in Portugal is under attack and the country’s politicians have been silent.
The Porto Synagogue and Lisbon Jewish Cultural Center were vandalized, threats have been made to the community, and a list of Israeli Jewish businessmen was published by a political newspaper. These are just a few of the antisemitic incidents that have plagued Portugal is recent months.
How can we expect to fight anti-Jewish hate when the country’s leadership won’t condemn these hateful acts?
