Chair of Ben and Jerry’s Board Blocks Combat Antisemitism Movement on Twitter

Last week, the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream company caved to antisemitic BDS pressure, announcing it would end sales of its products in the “Occupied Palestinian Territory.”

The driving force behind Ben and Jerry’s reprehensible move, which was widely condemned by Israeli leaders and Jewish organizations worldwide, was Anuradha Mittal, chair of the Vermont-based ice cream company’s board of directors.

In addition to her Ben and Jerry’s role, Mittal is the founder and executive director of the Oakland Institute think tank and a self-styled human rights advocate.

Mittal bore much of the criticism for Ben and Jerry’s decision — and she apparently did not take it in stride.

The Combat Antisemitism Movement — which reported on the antisemitic nature of Ben and Jerry’s boycott of Israel — was blocked on Twitter by Mittal.

She likely did so to avoid hearing the disturbing truth about the BDS movement she supports and its Jew-hatred problem.

We at CAM will not be silenced, and we will continue to share the message that anti-Zionism is antisemitism and boycotts of Israel are rooted in anti-Jewish bigotry.
