Combat Antisemitism Movement Dismayed and Outraged by Russian Invasion of Ukraine
The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) is dismayed and outraged by Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine.
The appalling disregard for civilian lives and shocking indifference to basic human values witnessed in the past two weeks are reminiscent of the darkest moments in history and cannot be tolerated in the modern world.
We call for an immediate cessation of the Russian military offensive, and urge a diplomatic solution that restores peace and protects Ukraine’s independence and national sovereignty from future aggression.
We encourage all initiatives to provide humanitarian aid to the millions displaced by this savage war, as well as rebuilding efforts in Ukraine after the fighting has ended.
Furthermore, we are disturbed by the distortion and trivialization of the Holocaust and Nazism in discourse about the conflict, and demand a halt to the use of such rhetoric.
