Synagogues in LA and Richmond, VA Vandalized During Protests that Sweep Across US

According to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, Synagogues in Los Angeles, California and Richmond, Virginia were vandalized as a wave of protests swept the nation, over the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis, MN by a police officer. This comes on the heels of synagogue vandalisms earlier in the week in Minneapolis, McAllen, Texas, Peoria, Illinois and in Montreal.

Congregation Beth Israel in the Fairfax district in Los Angeles was vandalized with graffiti reading “F**k Israel” and “Free Palestine” as protests swept the city.

On the same day, a brick was thrown by a protester through the window of Congregation Beth Ahabah, 200-year-old Reform congregation in Richmond, Virginia during Saturday night protests in the city.
