Watch: Remembering the Tree of Life Synagogue Attack Two Years Later

October 28, 2020
On October 27, 2018, the most violent attack on Jews in American history took place at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Eleven innocent lives were lost and at least six others were injured.
The assailant was active on social media, embracing white supremacist conspiracy theories about Jews and other minorities. The attack reminds us that anti-Semitism expressed online too often transitions into physical violence. May the memories of the victims be a blessing and may the survivors find comfort in the warm embrace of their local and global community of supporters.
Watch and share the memorial video below to mark the second anniversary of this tragedy.
