THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Institutions Take Steps to Fight Jew-Hatred as New Survey Exposes Support for Hamas Among Young People

This year, Yale University quietly incorporated the IHRA definition of antisemitism in its anti-discrimination policies as one of multiple resources to consult.

While undoubtedly a positive step, Yale should prioritize the IHRA definition as the most comprehensive framework for identifying and addressing antisemitism.

Such institutional action is increasingly urgent. A recent poll shows that nearly half of Americans aged 18 to 24 favor Hamas over Israel. The IHRA definition’s emphasis on how antisemitism often targets the Jewish state is critical to countering this disturbing trend.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration recently announced massive funding cuts to Cornell and Northwestern Universities amid broader investigations into antisemitism at U.S. colleges. Kansas and Tennessee recently enacted their own important steps to fight Jew-hatred – follow the links below for more details.

Passover Story is an Eternal Call to Action

As Jews gather around the Seder table this year, we are reminded once again that the Passover story is not just a tale of ancient liberation but an eternal call to action, just as relevant now as it was for our forebears thousands of years ago in Egypt.

At CAM, we understand our role in this generation’s fight for freedom is both urgent and essential. May the spirit of liberation inspire us all to act with purpose, clarity, and resilience.
