GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT
THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT
This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.
Man Who Attacked Governor Shapiro’s Residence Motivated by Extreme Hatred of Israel
The man who firebombed Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s official residence last weekend was motivated by hatred of the Jewish state – another menacing reminder that antisemitic hatred is not a relic of the past, but a real and present danger across the globe today.
We stand with Governor Shapiro and his family and urge heightened vigilance by law enforcement to protect political leaders from harm.
Chilling Antisemitic Graffiti Scrawled on Northwestern University Campus
During Passover, vandals scrawled “Intifada Now” and “Death to Israel” across a Northwestern University building – brazen incitements to violence.
Antisemitism on campuses remains a persistent problem. In this week’s Global Antisemitism Report, 27 of 131 incidents recorded (or 20.6%) occurred on a college or university campus – an increase from 18.5% last week and 12.9% the week prior.
Fortunately, the federal government is taking powerful steps to stem the tide of Jew-hatred on campuses. Through decisive actions to impose consequences on Harvard for its inadequate response to the unchecked spread of antisemitic hatred on its campus, the Trump Administration is sending a clear message that universities must prioritize the safety and well-being of all students.
