THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT
This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.
During the holiday period, the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM continued to monitor cases of antisemitic violence, threats, rhetoric, and discrimination worldwide.
The epicenter of antisemitic activities over the past two weeks was Western Europe, where 111 incidents were recorded (42% of the global total of 263). Second was the United States, with 69 incidents (26%).
Prominent incidents included:
- Germany: A Jewish-owned restaurant in Munich was firebombed, causing extensive damage.
- Netherlands: An explosive device was detonated outside a pro-Israel Christian institution in Nijkerk.
- France: MEP Rima Hassan was arrested over a social media post that appeared to justify a 1972 terrorist attack at Israel’s main international airport.
- Turkey: Three terrorist gunmen attacked the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul.
- Pakistan: In a post on X, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif called Israel a “curse for humanity” and “cancerous state.”
- Brazil: A sign photographed at a Rio de Janeiro bar said Israeli and U.S. citizens were “not welcome.”
