GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT
THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT
This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.
Los Angeles Synagogue Vandalized by Protesters
A Los Angeles synagogue was vandalized by demonstrators during a protest on Wednesday.
The incident at Wilshire Boulevard Temple came only two weeks after antisemitic chants and calls for violence were documented at a protest outside Park East Synagogue in New York City.
The new trend of synagogues being targeted by anti-Israel activists highlights the growing normalization of antisemitic intimidation and incitement in American society that must be met with vigilance, preventative action, and firm response by municipal and law enforcement authorities.
Other incidents recorded around the world this week by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM included:
- Australia: Vandals spray-painted buildings and bollards with antisemitic graffiti in North Bondi, near Sydney.
- Canada: White nationalists performed Nazi salutes during a march in Hamilton, Ontario.
- Nepal: An Israeli tourist was attacked in Kathmandu by a group of men who heard him speaking Hebrew.
