THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Amid news that a hostage release deal has been finalized, we look forward to seeing the innocents abducted and held captive in Gaza for nearly 470 days reunited with their loved ones back home. The hostages have endured unimaginable cruelty, with their fundamental human rights brutally denied to them by their Hamas captors. Hamas’ barbaric tactics, reducing innocent lives to macabre bargaining chips, stand in stark contrast to Israel’s unwavering commitment to humane values.

We must, however, note our deep concern over the imbalance of an equation where dozens of terrorists are exchanged for a single civilian or soldier. The suffering of these hostages must serve as a call for the world to hold Hamas accountable for its crimes.

Data compiled by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM continues to shine a light on the latest trends in antisemitism worldwide. According to ARC research, Australia is experiencing a disturbing increase in antisemitism, with this week’s Global Antisemitism Report documenting 11 incidents in the country, 120% higher than the previous week, 175% higher than two weeks ago, and 267% higher than three weeks ago. Australian authorities and law enforcement must remain vigilant and vigorously prosecute those who seek to harm the Jewish community.

As part of an ongoing outreach campaign to Hispanic Americans, a CAM en Español delegation visited Miami, Florida this past week. The delegation participated in a series of communal events, face-to-face meetings, and media interviews, including a sit-down organized by the Yedidim Foundation with a group of Israeli soldiers of American origin and a Rosh Chodesh gathering led by Alicia Margulis of the Latin American Task Force (LATF).
