THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Brooklyn Park Targeted Twice by Antisemitic Vandals
A playground in Brooklyn’s Gravesend Park popular with local Jewish children was targeted twice this week by vandals who defaced the site with dozens of swastikas. The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has launched a hate crime investigation into the incidents.
Other incidents monitored by the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM this week included:
– United States: In a new memoir, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who is Jewish, revealed he was asked during the 2024 Democratic VP vetting process whether he had ever acted as an “agent of the Israeli government.”– United States: A Christmas pageant held at St. Mary Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Clifton, New Jersey, drew criticism for featuring a Jewish caricature rooted in antisemitic stereotypes.– Bulgaria: Vandals spray-painted swastikas on the gate of a synagogue in Plovdiv.– France: Graffiti reading “Dirty Jew” and a swastika were scrawled on the front window of a Socialist Party office in Nimes.
