THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed Monday, is a solemn occasion to honor the six million Jewish victims of the Nazi genocide. However, some exploit the Holocaust’s memory by falsely equating Israel’s self-defense against Hamas with Nazi atrocities. Irish President Michael Higgins appeared to do so in a speech this week in Dublin. This week’s Global Antisemitism Report shows Holocaust distortion, denial, or trivialization accounted for 11% of incidents — approximately 10 percentage points higher than the previous week.

On Monday, U.S. President Trump issued a historic executive order directing federal agencies to combat antisemitism in a crucial step against rising Jew-hatred. We thank him for this bold action and look forward to helping implement his vision for a secure Jewish community.

This week, CAM partnered with Pakistani-American community leader Raja Azad Gul to unite New York City’s Jewish and Muslim communities, along with top NYPD officials, in commemorating International Holocaust Remembrance Day. In Latin America, CAM Advisory Board Chair Pilar Rahola traveled to Lima for high-profile meetings and interviews during CAM’s first official visit to Peru. In Israel, CAM co-hosted second-generation Holocaust survivors Rita Porat and Robert Kahan at the Norwegian embassy to hear their families’ stories.

In a video released Wednesday, Ken Marcus urged bipartisan action against campus antisemitism amid ongoing political disputes in the Virginia General Assembly over his appointment to the George Mason University Board of Visitors. CAM stands with Ken Marcus and calls on Virginia legislators to support his nomination.

All who value truth and justice must refute and ostracize those who propagate this most insidious form of contemporary antisemitic thought.
