GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Israel Emergency Support Fund Activated to Assist Victims of Iran War

In the aftermath of the recent 12-day war between Israel and Iran, CAM activated its Israel Emergency Support Fund to provide assistance to those impacted by the conflict, with a focus on supporting evacuated families and funding trauma counseling, home rebuilding, and community healing programs.

Holocaust Inversion Persists Worldwide

The Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM recorded seven incidents this week involving Holocaust distortion, denial, or trivialization – a 250% rise from last week. Many included outrageous comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany, amounting to Holocaust inversion.

Such rhetoric, equating Jews with their oppressors, is a dangerous form of modern antisemitism that must be firmly rejected.

Incidents include:
  • Sweden: Anti-Israel activists in Umeå displayed mannequins hanging from ropes and dressed in concentration camp garb and Stars of David, alongside Palestinian flags and the words, “a genocide is a genocide.”
  • United Kingdom: The rector of Glasgow University accused Israel of carrying out a “final solution” in Gaza.
  • Turkey: Turkish President Erdoğan alleged that Israel’s conduct “surpasses that of the Nazis.”
