GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

Protesters Chant ‘Globalize the Intifada’ Outside NYC Synagogue
Anti-Israel demonstrators chanted antisemitic slogans in front of Park East Synagogue in Manhattan on Wednesday, including “Globalize the Intifada” and “Resistance you make us proud, take another settler out,” among other violent threats.
CAM Chief Government Affairs Officer Lisa Katz called the incident “only the latest example of the growing normalization of antisemitic intimidation and incitement in American society.”
“With the looming inauguration of New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani, who has embraced this exact type of dangerous rhetoric in the past, Jewish New Yorkers must remain vigilant and demand city leaders take concrete steps to ensure their right to worship in safety and without fear,” she added.
Antisemitic Vandalism Surges Worldwide
Meanwhile, the Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM monitored a rise in antisemitic vandalism around the world this week. Acts of vandalism constituted 9.9% of the total incidents recorded by the ARC, up from 6.4% the previous week. Incidents included:
  • Mexico: Antisemitic graffiti slurring Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum as a “Jewish whore” was scrawled on the Supreme Court building in Mexico City.
  • United States: Vandals graffitied “F*ck Jews” on a sidewalk in Brooklyn, New York.
  • Canada: Vandals wrote “Kill all Jews” and “Allahu Akbar” in a bathroom on the Concordia University campus in Montreal, Quebec
  • Italy: “Kill the Jews and let’s liberate Gaza” was spray-painted on a wall in the city of Anzio.
