GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

THIS WEEK'S GLOBAL ANTISEMITISM REPORT

This week, we continued to monitor antisemitism around the world while advocating for more actions to be made.

The Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) by CAM recorded 18 incidents of antisemitism in Spain during the past two weeks – 9 this week and 9 last week – a 260 percent increase from the 5 recorded during the preceding two weeks.

In the wake of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez’s chilling suggestion that “nuclear bombs” would help his country “stop the Israeli offensive,” Spain is witnessing a disturbing rise in hostility toward its Jewish community.

Other notable incidents documented this week include:

  • Canada: Vandals targeted two synagogues and a Jewish community center in Halifax, scrawling a swastika and “Jews did 9/11.”
  • Greece: A group of Palestinian men assaulted two Israeli tourists on Saturday in central Athens, near the Monument to the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square.
