A native of Sweden, Saskia Pantell experienced anti-Semitism at a rally in her city’s main square where protesters held signs that compared the State of Israel to Nazi Germany and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler. Comparing the actions of the Jewish State to those of the Nazis is an increasing common form of contemporary anti-Semitism, under the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) working definition of anti-Semitism.
