CAM CEO Sacha Roytman issued the following statement on the New Year’s Eve terrorist attack in New Orleans:
“Our prayers go out to the people of New Orleans and everyone touched by this heinous attack, and our partner in combating antisemitism, Mayor LaToya Cantrell. Our hearts break for the victims, their families, and everyone in the community impacted by this tragedy.”
“This attack, fueled by radical Islamist ideology, underscores the urgent need to eradicate such dangerous beliefs that breed hatred and violence. Just a few weeks ago, Mayor Cantrell stood with unwavering courage at the CAM Mayors Summit Against Antisemitism declaring that hatred and extremism must be confronted with the strongest resolve. Today, as she leads her city through this dark moment, she embodies true leadership. The entire world should rally behind her and stand in solidarity with New Orleans. Together, we must remain steadfast in our commitment to combating and eradicating the ideologies that fuel such atrocities.”
The news out of New Orleans this New Year’s morning is horrifying.
We send our deepest condolences to the families of the dead, pray for the full recovery of the injured, and stand resolutely with the people of New Orleans as this difficult time.https://t.co/KTqONfv8cU
