Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) CEO Sacha Roytman issued the following statement on Tuesday, following the violent takeover of Hamilton Hall at Columbia University by anti-Israel demonstrators:
“When protesters smash windows and seize control of a building while chanting for an ‘intifada,’ these protests are far from peaceful but instead pose great threat to Jewish students’ safety. The lack of action from both government and school administrations has fueled antisemitism within our education system. This week, Congress must pass the Antisemitism Awareness Act to protect the rights of Jewish students to a safe learning environment.”
