Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen was in Israel this week for a trade mission organized in partnership with the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM).
The trip brought together Nebraska business, civic, and faith leaders to deepen relationships with Israeli counterparts and explore new opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, innovation, and trade.
“This mission reinforced to me how much Nebraska and Israel have in common — from our agricultural roots to our commitment to innovation, faith, and values,” said Governor Pillen. “Meeting with Israeli leaders and seeing Nebraska beef proudly displayed on trucks across the country reminded me that this partnership is not just good for business, it is built on shared principles that carry significance for both Nebraskans and Israelis.”
The October 27-30 mission included representatives from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, the Jewish Federation of Omaha, and leaders from the state’s agricultural and global engineering industries.
During the visit, the delegation met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as officials from a wide array of Israeli agricultural and tech companies, and visited Yad Vashem, Israel’s national Holocaust memorial.
