Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) CEO Sacha Roytman issued the following statement on Thursday, amid the ongoing anti-regime protests in Iran and rising regional tensions in the Middle East:
“The Iranian regime’s brutal suppression of its own people is not new, but the world must not look away this time. What we are witnessing is not just an internal political crisis, it is a human rights catastrophe of a global magnitude. As tens of thousands of Iranians courageously take to the streets to protest against tyranny, they face a regime that has mastered the machinery of oppression, propaganda, and violence. The ayatollah and his henchmen are a cancer to the world who sow terror, deliberately murder civilians, and spread antisemitic hatred as foundational ideological pillars.”
“We stand with the Iranian people fighting for their freedom. Their struggle is our struggle. The regime in Tehran does not just threaten Jews and Israelis. It menaces anyone who believes in human liberty, dignity, and the right to live without fear.”
“Silence in the face of such evil is complicity. This moment requires more than just sympathy. It demands action, accountability, and moral clarity from all good people of conscience. We look forward to a future where the people of Iran enjoy the freedom that is their right and they so richly deserve. May it come soon.”
