The World Must Not Look Away – Ariel and Kfir Bibas Need Us Now

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For 485 days, two little boysAriel, 5, and Kfir, 2 — and their mother Shiri have been held hostage in Gaza. Their father, Yarden, was freed on Saturday. No one knows where these innocent children are or if they are even alive.

What kind of world allows this?

Children belong in the arms of their parents, not in the hands of terrorists. They are not bargaining chips. They are not war trophies. Yet Hamas and Islamic Jihad have paraded hostages in staged propaganda videos, using their suffering to send a message of cruelty and dominance.

Enough. The world must say — no more.

Thousands of people joined this week a global campaign, “The Orange Revolution,” launched by the Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) to demand the release of Ariel, Kfir, and Shiri Bibas. Their bright orange hair, once a symbol of joy, now represents the world’s failure to protect the most vulnerable. The purpose of this campaign, featuring the #OrangeRevolution hashtag, was make it a symbol of resistance, of outrage, of action.

We cannot be silent. We cannot let the world normalize the kidnapping of children.

Thank you for joining us to turn the world orange and stand for Ariel, Kfir, and Shiri!

We will continue to fight for the safe return of all hostages, and will not rest until every single one is home.
