In recent years, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) Working Definition of Antisemitism has emerged as the global “gold standard” in the collective effort against all manifestations of rising contemporary Jew-hatred.
The definition’s far-reaching impact is rooted in the broad-based consensus that has formed around it worldwide, as a diverse array of more than 1,160 international institutions and organizations, national and local governments, NGOs, universities, athletic clubs, and corporations have officially adopted and used it as a non-legally binding guiding framework for recognizing modern-day iterations of antisemitism, training and educational programs, policymaking initiatives, and judicial processes.
