The CAM Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) conducted an online survey this week across three major social media platforms, asking followers the question: “In your opinion, what direction is antisemitism currently trending in the U.S.?”
A total of 1,647 people responded on Twitter, Reddit, and Instagram. A majority — 54.71% — said antisemitism in America was “sharply increasing,” and 34.43% felt it was “slightly increasing.”
Meanwhile, only 6.55% believed it was “significantly decreasing,” with 4.31% thinking it was “slightly decreasing.”
CAM CEO Sacha Roytman Dratwa commented, “These poll results prove that people are feeling what data has already shown for several years now — antisemitism is on the rise across the United States, with the American Jewish community facing threat levels unknown in living memory. This only underscores the vital need for the work CAM and our partners do each and every day to diligently identify and counter all manifestations of antisemitism across the ideological spectrum and promote interfaith tolerance and harmony.”
